Service has defined my life for more than two decades. For 23 years, I served this country in uniform — as a firefighter, police officer, and Navy leader — driven by a simple belief: leadership means protecting people and showing up when it matters most.

When I retired from the Navy, I didn’t step away from service. I continued that mission as a federal civil servant, working as a Security Specialist to strengthen the institutions that millions of Americans rely on every day and supporting the public servants who keep our government functioning.

I’m also a husband and a father of four — a proud girl dad — raising my family in the same Maryland communities I’m fighting for. As a veteran and former federal employee, I understand the challenges families face because my family lives them too: balancing work and childcare, managing rising costs, navigating life after service, and planning for a future that feels less certain than it should..

The Navy taught me that real leadership doesn’t happen from behind a desk. It starts alongside the people you serve — listening before speaking, taking responsibility, and never asking anyone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself. That perspective has guided me at every level of service and continues to shape how I lead.

Maryland’s Fifth District is built by everyday people — military families, federal workers, watermen, small business owners, and working parents — yet too often their voices are ignored. I’m running for Congress to bring their experiences, values, and priorities to Washington.

Because service isn’t something I did — it’s who I am.

Why I’m Running…

I’m running for Congress because Maryland’s 5th District deserves leadership that puts people first — not politics as usual. At a moment when extremist agendas like Project 2025 threaten basic rights, democratic norms, and the independence of our institutions, we need leaders who are prepared to stand up, push back, and govern with purpose.

Across our district, families are under pressure. Housing costs keep rising. Childcare is harder to find and afford. Infrastructure is falling behind. Commutes are longer. Paychecks aren’t keeping up. Coastal communities and watermen are facing real environmental threats, while military families, veterans, and federal workers are stretched thin with instability and neglect.

Too often, Washington responds with excuses instead of solutions. Career politicians protect their positions while everyday people are told to wait, settle or accept less.

I don’t see public service as a talking point - I see it as a responsibility. Leadership means showing up, listening, and making decisions based on what actually helps people - not what benefits corporations, lobbyists, or party insiders.

I am running to fight for Marylanders, restore trust in government, and deliver practical solutions grounded in real experience - not political theater or camera-ready grandstanding.

Because when government works for people, not special interests, our communities don’t just get by, they move forward.

JOIN THE FIGHT.
